We are proud to be the exclusive home to the city's only clay courts. Our four Har-Tru surfaces, crafted from crushed metabasalt, cultivate a dynamic and faster game experience. Beyond enhancing gameplay, clay courts are kinder to the body, reducing the risk of injuries. MEET OUR TENNIS PROs

MARTY HENNESSY

Marty started playing Tennis when he was 13 years old. After graduating college on a tennis scholarship, Marty played on a pro level, ranking number one in the United States Professional Tennis Association for men’s open singles. Marty then began directing junior tennis camps starting in 1973. For the next 27 years, Marty ran the largest tournament in Southern Nevada called the Amstel Light Open while simultaneously working as the Tennis Director at Desert Inn.

He has been with us here at The Stirling Club for 23 years, even starting the Marty Hennessy Inspiring Children Foundation at our Club. Over the course of his career, he has coached many individuals including Tony Bennett, Jewel, Barbara Sinatra, Comedian Tommy Smothers, Comedian Rita Rudner, Clint Holmes, Johnny Carson, Kirk Krikorian, and Mayor Carolyn Goodman.
